WTH Community Space Board – Youth Representative Job Description
📍 Location: London
⏳ Commitment: Flexible, up to 12 hours per month (this may vary across the year)

About Us
The WTH Community Space Board is a unique and diverse collective. Our members come from all ages and backgrounds. Between us we have a wealth of local knowledge gained as residents and community leaders who live and/or work in the area.
The WTH Community Space is an inclusive community space in the heart of London, dedicated to bringing people together, fostering creativity, and empowering local voices. Our board ensures that our space truly reflects the needs of the diverse communities we serve.
We meet once a month in person at the WTH Community Space.
Why Join as a Youth Board Member?
We believe young people should have a say in shaping of our community space. As a Youth Board Member, you’ll bring fresh perspectives, advocate for youth voices, and contribute to decisions that impact events and programs in the community space.
What You’ll Do

Advocate for Young People – Represent the interests, ideas, and needs of young people in the community.

Shape Community Initiatives – Help develop programs and events that engage and support youth.

Collaborate with Leaders – Work alongside experienced board members, community leaders, and partners.

Influence Decisions – Provide insights on how our space can be more inclusive and youth-friendly.

Grow Your Skills – Gain experience in leadership, teamwork, financial skills and decision-making at the board level. You will be taking on a role as a board member e.g. leading on social media
What We’re Looking For
✅ Aged 16-25, passionate about community engagement.
✅ A Southwark resident
✅ A time commitment to attending board meetings, reading papers and leading on a specific stream of work.
✅ Committed to inclusion, diversity, and representation.
✅ Willing to share ideas and work collaboratively.
✅ A strong interest in youth issues, social change, community activities, engaging with the community.
✅ No prior board experience needed—just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
